Sodium hydroxide makes a solid soap. Potassium hydroxide makes a liquid soap. Combining the two creates a softer, more water-soluble soap that creates an abundant, creamy, dense lather perfect for shaving. This soap provides a smooth, comfortable, moisturizing shave. Using an old fashioned shave bar eliminates single-use containers. Each puck weighs between 3.5-3.8oz.
*The horsehair shave brush is not included; it's just what I use.
How to use:
Puck can be placed in a cup or small bowl and lather worked up by swirling a shave brush that has been soaked in warm water around on the puck. It helps to sprinkle warm water on the soap to build lather. The amount of water will vary depending on how much lather you want to build.
This soap is made by hot process method in small batches and has a more rustic look. The bar you receive may not look exactly like the one in the photo.
